On this day, 8 September, in 1911...

As part of my blog, I will be periodically be doing a short 'On this day' article featuring a member of the Sarson family.

On this day, 8 September, in 1911, Jessie Elizabeth Sarson died at Reed Place Farm, Marden, near Maidstone in Kent, England. She was aged 11 months and passed away of Pneumonia exhaustion. Death was registered by her father, John Alfred Sarson, of 30 Shorts Gardens, Longacre, W6 on 9 September 1911[1]. The surnames in both instances are given as Sarsons. It is unknown why she died in Kent and there is no apparent familial connection to the people who were living at Reed Place Farm at the time of the 1911 Census.

Jessie was born on 16 September 1910 at 30 Shorts Gardens, St Giles and Bloomsbury, London, England, to John Alfred Sarson, a Plumbers Labourer, and Elizabeth Sarson, formerly Parfitt [2]. Her mother registered her birth on 27 October 1910.
