On this day, 2 January, in 1902, Laurence Edgar Sarson was born. His date of birth is recorded on his Baptism entry, which took place on 16 March 1902, at St Mary's Church, Bow Road, Stratford Bow, Tower Hamlets, London, England [1]. He is the son of William, a Packing Case Maker, and Margaret Sophia Sarson (nee Morgon) of 11 Oregon Avenue, Romford Road. 

His birth was registered in the March Quarter of 1902 in the West Ham registration district [2]

On this day, 1 January, in 1839, Thomas Frederic Sarson married Susannah Brice at St Michael and All Angels Church in the village of Harston, Leicestershire, England [1]. The marriage was registered in the district of Grantham, Lincolnshire, England [2].

Thomas and Susannah had 8 children between 1843 and 1855.

On this day, 27 July, in 1884, Leonard Maurice Sarson was born. His date of birth is recorded on his Baptism entry, which took place on 14 September 1884, at St Luke's Church, Evelyn Street, Deptford, Kent, England [1]. He is the son of Edward, a Baker, and Mary Sarson (nee Steel) of 176 Evelyn Street. 

His birth was registered in the September Quarter of 1884 in the Greenwich registration district [2]

On this day, January 1, in 1839, Thomas Frederic Sarson married Susannah Brice at St Michael and All Angels Church in the village of Harston, Leicestershire, England [1]. The union though was registered in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, which is about 6 miles north east of Harston, Leicestershire, England [2]. There was a marriage notice in the Leicestershire Mercury on Saturday 12 January 1839 [3].

On this day, 8 September, in 1911...

As part of my blog, I will be periodically be doing a short 'On this day' article featuring a member of the Sarson family.

On this day, 8 September, in 1911, Jessie Elizabeth Sarson died at Reed Place Farm, Marden, near Maidstone in Kent, England. She was aged 11 months and passed away of Pneumonia exhaustion. Death was registered by her father, John Alfred Sarson, of 30 Shorts Gardens, Longacre, W6 on 9 September 1911[1]. The surnames in both instances are given as Sarsons. It is unknown why she died in Kent and there is no apparent familial connection to the people who were living at Reed Place Farm at the time of the 1911 Census.  

Jessie was born on 16 September 1910 at 30 Shorts Gardens, St Giles and Bloomsbury, London, England, to John Alfred Sarson, a Plumbers Labourer, and Elizabeth Sarson, formerly Parfitt [2]. Her mother registered her birth on 27 October 1910.
