On this day, 2 January, in 1902...

As part of my blog, I will do a short 'On this day' article featuring a member of the Sarson family.

On this day, 2 January, in 1902, Laurence Edgar Sarson was born. His date of birth is recorded on his Baptism entry, which took place on 16 March 1902, at St Mary's Church, Bow Road, Stratford Bow, Tower Hamlets, London, England [1]. He is the son of William, a Packing Case Maker, and Margaret Sophia Sarson (nee Morgon) of 11 Oregon Avenue, Romford Road. 

His birth was registered in the March Quarter of 1902 in the West Ham registration district [2].
